Spent yesterday afternoon watching TV. On our AT&T U-Verse subscription, we have free video on demand, so we tend to watch all the VH1 classics section. On there at the moment is Jody Watley, Spandau Ballet, Juice Newton, Huey Lewis & The News, and some others. There’s also a special about Russell Mulcahy, who’s responsible for a lot of music videos. I’m not sure if I really like any, I’ve always thought that the Bonnie Tyler video he did was pretty weird and didn’t go with the song. She herself even talked about it in this program.
Then, we switched over to the CMT section and browsed some of the classics they had on there. We came across this Reba McEntire song and watched the video for that. It was a decent song (I’m not into country all that much), is about two women with the same guy. Then something crazy happens in the end and you’re like… WOAH… WTF?! Not really something you’d expect, especially since it’s all fancy and celebrity-like.
Not the weirdest music video I’ve seen (that was the one where this one guy was sitting in a bathtub singing… I saw it with a friend in a hotel room when we were like six, ha), but it makes the top five in my book.
